Living Example of Ambulatory Morons ! |
The
khap panchayat’s suggestion- child marriages should be legalized to ‘rescue’
girls from such crimes such as rape? Is there any documented evidence to show
that married women are not sexually assaulted or that married men do not commit
the heinous crime of rape?
There
surely is an “alarming” level of discrimination, violence and abuse that girls
still face worldwide, and of late we have the privilege to see on media, some
intellectually challenged folks in India who express their stinking views and
reflect their suppressed latent desires to fornicate young girls! I have a strong
feeling that premarital sex and extramarital affairs may soon be touted by the
khaps as remedies too!
Such senseless attempts to legitimize one evil to get
rid of another should be resisted by each and every right thinking citizen!
My
heart goes out to many unlucky girls who are forced to marry early are
committed to being in slavery for the rest of their lives. Girls who are
victims of such marriages experience domestic servitude, sexual slavery and
suffer from violations to their right to education, health non-discrimination
and freedom from physical, psychological and sexual violence. Why are we out to
satisfy the sexual needs of psychopaths?
It
is with horror I recall the recent attack on three school girls in Pakistan, where
the main target of the attack, Malala Yousufzai, is a champion of girls’
education and girls’ rights!
The
women of the future, the young girls of the world, should not be deprived of
their fundamental human right to play and learn and enjoy being children, I
rest my case by stating that many so called civilized members of the society we
live in are abhorrent and cowardly.
They are social terrorists who reflect what
frightens those the most: a girl with a book, a girl who wishes for a life but
mostly a girl with her head sitting steady and straight on her shoulders!
Totally agree with "They are social terrorists who reflect what frightens those the most: a girl with a book, a girl who wishes for a life but mostly a girl with her head sitting steady and straight on her shoulders!"

Truely Appreciate the Notion in this post...
ReplyDeleteI think in a long term perspective, atleast now they shud immediately announce unimaginable benefits to people who have girl childs, which will encourage people of Haryana to have girl childs first. And Short term would be... stringent and strict Laws for Rape with special courts.
Hope atleast now Haryana will look into their man v/s women ratio seriously !!!

Ushy, you wrote well. Its like taking people of the area, especially the new generation, back to square one.
ReplyDeleteFact is these Khaps are just vote banks and political people lure them and allow them to force people to adhere to their old dead and outdated traditions. In changed periods, its sheer nuisance. I relate it to Punjabi word "KHAPP" that is a sheer noise full of all nuisance. Its not only about this issue but see all their so called fatwaas type orders in past.

"I have a strong feeling that premarital sex and extramarital affairs may soon be touted by the khaps as remedies too!" - just this absurd statement wholly suggested me, you are another shallow mind, either due to religion, too much guilt thus desperation to be the "Apple of the Parent's Eyes", both, or some other stupid reason. Hello "Bhartiya Nari", don't try to act like a "Bhartiya Nari" whose origins are as mythical as "Spaghetti-Monster".
ReplyDeleteLet me try to lit up your dim mind even if I fail in doing so, Premarital Sex is NOT A SIN. The only reason your subconscious made you type it down with such different topics -"Extramarital Affairs" and "Child Marriage"-, is because you wanted to silently pass on to your readers, that you consider it as a bad thing and it is a bad thing(dictatorship much?). Ms. Little Drama Girl, world is more that your mind can imagine, you are no better then the khaps. They say 16years is an OK age for marriage, and on the other side, you suggesting, "Premarital Sex" is wrong. Clearly, you're a gone case. Blaming khaps, but the reality is that inside you is a khap that is equally disgusting as "the khaps".
Your other problem is you added Extramarital affairs, such sensitive topics being silently suggested to readers as wrong to commit. So unethical and you couldn't be more wrong. When your partner is providing you with every need(including sexual) and you still choose to get involved with somebody else without any knowledge given to the other partner. Now, that is wrong! But what about if the needs are not met? Should those people let themselves get tortured and do nothing about it? Huh? Do you see? These are sensitive issues, which are highly debatable. You can not include them in just anything. There's something called "rationality" which clearly you lack.
Don't choose sensitive words just because you think they can somehow increase the connection between you and the reader. Only feminists would love to read this. Feminists, that are extremely sexist, who would just love to watch men die, even for something as stupid like, "Not opening the car door for the lady."
This could've been such a nice article, I loved the parts where you bashed khaps, and your attitude seems refreshing, but I just couldn't tolerate the silent passing of typical Indian mindset, "Sex can only be tolerated in the Sanctity of Marriage". Such a pure thing and the most pleasurable, Sex, made to look to dirty if not within the boundaries of Marriage? Such a deluded mindset.
Last note, everyone thinks Child Marriage is wrong, because it is wrong, no questions asked! But it is not the same with Premarital Sex, some people can say it is wrong, many more won't, depends on the mindset, and that is why it was immature/noobish/absurd/misleading to include it with Child Marriage.
Dear Dhruv
DeleteThank you for all of that! You have been very kind!
More than feed back that seemed so personalized and opinionated!
Thank you for measuring the depth of my mind and the title of "shallow" mind due to religion etc!
It is good to know that people such as yourself have so many issues with accepting another person's viewpoint!
When it comes to connecting with a reader obviously unless one connects there cannot be any message rendered! So did not really see it as a criminal offense!
Lots of gratitude for all the opinions delivered in your comment!
Welcome some more
Lots of regards

i have read what he said, he seems to be kind of person who is psychologically ill, and is disturb and belong to same category and had same intentions as of people who are bringing shame to humanity and country by raping women. he has taken matter to other side "extra marital and premarital affairs, which is a separate issue. these two issues are totally different then what being discussed. love and force are totally opposite poles.
Deletethis is the fault of their upbringing, same issue i shared lot back with richa anirudh of Zindagi live when i discussed about teenagers and other people involved in eve teasing and we rescued a girl who was about to get kidnapped, if we have not taken few guys with suspicion

DeleteHello! Dhruv.
DeletePlease read the whole article again and carefully.
The issue is particularly about marriage of girls who are either minors or aren't self-sufficient. In your reply you seem to be justifying the remedy of pre-marital sex for such girls. Then I'd like to know whether you would have the same yardstick when it comes to your young/unmarried sister/s if any.
Thank you.
There is a saying in Tamil which means that IF YOU REMOVE FIRE, THE BOILING WILL STOP. So, we had to address the fire ie the rapes than boiling in the name of women freedom etc. I say rapes are more heinous crime against women/girls than these kind of comments by insensitive politicians.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that rape is seen more as a problem for women by the blog rather than as a social problem. It’s a problem of society and not women alone. When they advocate child marriage, they do not say that marriage of girls alone, its for boys also. So, do not see this as women problem alone.
Our culture is the only solution to overcome this social evil. Our society had degraded slowly and getting wedded to western culture which triggers these kind of undesirable evils like rapes.
I wish to draw a parallel of our culture and that of westerners with this simple example.
In 2004 on December 26, we were affected by Tsunami in Nagapattinam, Kerala Coast etc. Immediately, RSS, Matha Amirthanandamayi trust and various NGOs and individuals besides the state Government swung into relief work for the affected. Various relief measures are taken like construction of temp homes, sanitary measures, adoption of children whose parents vanished in that.
At about the same time, there was a nature’s disaster in US called Katrina. What happened in that country is not relief work but rapes, loot etc. This is the major difference between Bharath and other countries.
Again I say, people should understand that sex is part of marriage and not outside marriage. If this kind of mindset is inculcated in the minds of people, then I see, these unfortunate trauma inflicted upon the women/girls in the name rapes.
So lets focus on the fire than boiling water.
Dear Sivaswamy
DeleteLots of gratitude for coming by and penning in such mature sensible comments!
Truly means a lot and the talent you have in expressing your views is commendable!
You say "Our culture is the only solution to overcome this social evil. Our society had degraded slowly and getting wedded to western culture which triggers these kind of undesirable evils like rapes."...but mostly such acts are very personalised and no universal reasons can justify an act of violence and abuse!
everyone's threshold is different and it is horrible to the person who experiences it! If the law and the people were taught respect and implementation checks should have surely been in place!
Once again thank you for your views.
Lots of regards
Ushy
Khap panchayat thinks early marriages would prevent rapes reeks of their insecurity. What those bloodsuckers are actually trying to say is-- " Look, either this way or that, rape is inevitable. So, why don't you all get your daughters married and make it look 'decent'". Khaps are indeed the dark side of medieval India. Furiously speaking, what does K.H.A.P. stand for? Killer Hounds & Ambulatory Pimps? Or is it Kaminey Haraamzadon ka atankwaadi panchayat?.
