I had always heard that history repeats itself, because we are not listening the first time!Currently we are dealing with a fast moving consumer product ,Pornography, which is so deadly to the Indian consumer.We have always had alcohol in states where prohibition exists,pirated movies in the open market and and now porn almost everywhere.
Mild, moderate and severe consumption? how does one classify something in porno as being excess? mildly moral and severely immoral society or people? What's the fun in moderation? One drink is maybe to enjoy but one drink too many drunk?

Are we shunning pleasure? Are we ending up a voyeuristic nation? Can we actually stop this menace of watching and enjoying the pleasure that many derive out of porn? Who are we to stop people from doing what they enjoy?If not we then who takes charge of the controls?

Good people don’t watch porn? Or they watch it only at home?So do you become bad if you watch it anywhere other than at home? Ain't it about about individuality and personal preferences? The same politician can watch dirty picture on a large screen and award the director for a wonderful venture but a video clip? Or is that considered too dirty only for politicians?

I can bet that a majority of politicians and babus and bhabhis included, watch porn.Some stupid ones get caught when watching it in the legislature. We end up have to suffer this moral hypocrisy!

• P T Chacko - 1964 was found in a car accident with a lady…lost his position…wonder which one! Political or sexual? 
• In early 80’s Ramrao Adik, the then Deputy CM of Maharashtra was all over papers…downing peg after peg on an AI flight, stumbling across aisles and heckling co passengers and playing touchy touchy with females in the cabin crew.He was busy chasing mini skirts around the lawns. He embarrassed many women with his forwardness!He was referred to as the "Hanover Hangover" Mr Adik then took to curves? From a straight political career! 
• Kerala’s former forest minister Neela Lohitadas had to resign in 2000 following a complaint of attempted sexual abuse by a senior IAS officer. 
• N D Tiwari, former Andhra Governor,carrying on with his sexual orgy in his official residence at the Raj Bhavan 
• The late J H Patel, former CM of Karnataka,admitted his weakness for wine and women. Uncles- sheer case of Die Hard On! 
• P J Kurien,Suryanelli scandal in Idukki in 1996 involving a 16 yr old raped by 42 men continuously for 40 days at diff places.The name was cleared after investigations. Sounds like the sequelae Penetrator2.! Gosh. 
• The famous ice cream parlour case of the industrialist MLA Kunhalikutty rocked kerala ,in 2011 case was reopened by Kutty was cleared of all charges. It was probed case anew by SIT.
• The Kilroor scandal in 2003,wherein a woman assured to be given roles in a TV serial, bore a child and died accusing some high profile politicians but CBI dismissed allegations. 
• Micky Pacheco arrested in 2010.The NCP man was in a live in relationship…he openly bought his woman instead of wife even for swearing in ceremony. Another affair and the woman tried ending her life.Nadia Torrado in may 2010 sucked Pacheco in. He was put through the wringer by investigating agency. 
• Bhanwari Devi case hit headlines.Mahipal Maderna is facing trial for her murder.MLA Malkhan Singh is supposed to have fathered Bhanwari’s children.Once she started blackmailing they plotted to eliminate her. 
• Ram Lal Jat speeded up Paras Devi post mortem….the 34 yr old showed signs of poisoning.MP Ramswaroop Koli sent 3 children and a woman to the US.The human trafficking earned him15 lakhs in return!

What has changed and what hasn’t? Talking Karnataka now--The land of hot and happening "Pornocchios"

• Renukacharya and Jayalakshmi scandal….photographs of him posing amorously released in 2009 but what happened? 
• What happened to Halappa? in 2010 sleaze cd was circulated where a woman lying in negligee was crying claiming rape.Her husband was so busy filming it. A complaint was lodged wit the Governor..he had to resign.The Govt then had handed the case to the CID.
• Padmapriya wife of Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat disappeared and VS Acharya the then Home Minister was accused of with holding information until news of her subsequent suicide broke out. 

Lots of leaders reflect dubious felicity when it came to their illicit affairs.Many lovers occupy Ministerial berths or are awarded positions of power as a token of gratitude for companionship! Some people wield the “power” portfolio too!Handsome perks of being the "Sleeping Booty"

In Politics the dust generated by sex scandals is much more than the sweat due to hard work!

Why did the Ministers have to resign.Why did the CM and the Party heads praise the Ministers for their move to resign? Howcome the Speaker has ordered a joint house probe into what’s so obvious?...why this dishonesty and hypocrisy?

The Police investigations aginst those in sex scandals have almost always been a farce!

Now I am sure ex Ministers,Krishna,Laxman and Patil, the infamous amorous trio will be politically exploited by rivals(who are obviously tainted in some ways and will go shitty shitty bang bang) hehe "XXX Files"

Politics had ceased to be the last resort of scoundrels instead today friends it happens to be the first preference of all individuals with money to buy power. Maybe even buy an identity badge. The Ministers are relocated and function as dignitaries elsewhere.They even attend the assembly regularly.What's the point?

No wonder Anna said Right to Recall and not "Remix" or replace! People feel sick in their gut wit the wasted mandate.

Sleaze in the future is bound to take uglier forms. Soon, teenagers with raging hormones, would be reading playboy and masturbating in the back benches of classrooms.

An observation is that many young and single women hesitate from entering the domain of politics.Can imagine why!...Imagine sitting in an assembly full of Krishnas and Laxmans!At this rate, with more and more politically erect men, we may have to soon pass the “Women’s Preservation Pill!”

It’s always been a flowing rectangle piece of sheer elegance .The sari era or the sorry era? 

Agreed nothing can beat the look of a sari, the most elegant and sensuous piece of clothing. The sari can rarely go wrong on any occasion but on a couple of recent occasions I am forced to say, it has gone HORRIBLY wrong!

A normal sari measures 6 yards in length, which is draped around waist in such a way that anyone who wears it looks so feminine, maybe even sexy, remember a Mandakini in Ram Teri Ganga Maili or for that matter a stalwart like Zeenat Aman in a Satyam Shivam Sundaram? They have branded sensuousness!

Has the sari made a comeback in a big way? Or has it gone horribly wrong? Many designers I’m told include a sari in their designer collection. Well, I would credit some of them with totally mutilating this lovely garment which is rightfully Indian!

Sari is the only outfit in which a woman is draped all over and still looks super sensuous and not vulgar at all. It reveals as much as it hides. A perfectly draped sari can make you look ravishing and out of the world but a clumsy draped one will make you look hideous and will bring down your personality. Experiments with the 6-yard rectangular unstitched piece of cloth, gives birth to a new style- Thanx to this mutilation, today, there are hundreds of styles.

I quote from an article in The Hindu by Prabalika Borah where she says “The sari was definitely given its due importance when 30 year old American businesswoman actor musician, Paris Hilton wore a red monotone sari for an event” My question do these women wearing our traditional outfits in the mutilated manner in which they do make us revere it or feel sorry? Sari in the limelight! When the William sisters or Oprah Winfrey wore it? Excuse me! Grotesque isn’t the word to describe how it was draped around a humongous structure! Some of the mutilations by the westerners have redefined and branded the word grotesque!

The Anna Kournikovas, the Gagas or the Elizabeth Hurleys insist on wearing scraps of cloth and changing the entire meaning of our lovely sari…Imagine a Mayawati in a mini skirt or short off shoulder gown! Maybe even Amma or Didi in a pair of hip hugging slacks! I shudder at the very thought of it! That’s the same sorry look these visitors have when they try and emulate our traditional garment!

The traditional outfit for Indian women has been a sari. It is never out of fashion and is always an evergreen dressing for Indian women. Today in the hectic lives of Indian working women, it has become an occasional dress, but the love for sari has not decreased at all.

The Date of Birth can only be one factual date, pure and simple!

The seeds of controversy regarding the DOB of Gen VK Singh was sworn by the careless attitude and erroneous actions by the MS Branch at a stage which was allowed to persist till 2006 when they first queried the officer on the anomaly in his DOB.

Excuse me (30 years after commissioning -?) -Why questioning it at this belated stage- ??

The UPA should be squarely blamed for the ugly scene we are witnessing now in the form of a confrontation between the army and the civilian establishment. The Indian Army has a glorious tradition of accepting the civilian control and not meddling in politics especially in recent times when our country has been facing unprecedented political instability.

Instead of honoring the General of such an Army at the time of bidding farewell the Government has dragged him into an unnecessary controversy. There is surely precedence of “age conflicts” being settled. Why subject a man of General Singh’s cadre to some procedural rigmarole.I am riddled with questions!

What’s special about Gen V K Singh's case? Just because he is self respecting and has fiercely independent views running occasionally counter to the Government’s?

Is he a stumbling block for massive kickbacks for vested interests in the government and the UPA for several defense purchases in the pipeline now?


Some interesting points to note:

Ø The aberration in DOB was first raked- up when Gen. J.J. Singh was COAS (2006).

Ø Interestingly planning for “Two down COAS” commences when a Maj. Gen. is approved for Lt. Gen. The so called “Line of Succession” after Gen. V.K. Singh drawn then, has since been talked about and quoted today officially.

Ø General D Kapoor, the previous COAS may have followed the line for vested interests and vigorously pursued the issue at each stage and made all out efforts to malign and belittle Gen. V.K. Singh before his being considered as COAS, and now when so called “Line of Succession” is being firmed-in, the matter has hit the headlines.

Ø Lt. Gen. Avdesh Prakash, the then, Military Secretary vehemently pursued the agenda of his Chief Gen. Deepak Kapoor. He was involved in Sukhna Land Scam and found guilty and dismissed from service without any pension and benefits by a Court Martial.

The Print Media and Electronic Media, so far, have reflected the issue in bits and pieces without giving the complete picture, which has left the masses in doubt so serious that some of them have even raised eyebrows on the personal integrity of the Army Chief.

This is the least I could do to let the people judge the case on the merits of the case and to know from the facts enumerated above that there are some vested Powers, who are hell bent to destroy the image of our most honorable Army Chief. 

 Obviously! to promote some gullible and pliable personalities for the post.
No efforts either direct or indirect can malign or tarnish the image of this fine institution “INDIAN ARMY”.Ramifications of not taking the issue to rightful conclusion based on justified action are grave, especially when our enemies are eagerly waiting to dismantle and demoralize our Armed Forces!

The traffic light that stares us in the face every single day…and of course the RED light…it glows, we all know what it means….STOP! What do we do? Look around if there is a traffic cop- the moment we see none around there CT…we just take off through streaming traffic and enjoy the abuse yelled at us! Some of us even gesticulate rudely. Oh another boon- CCTV?…yeah maybe we need to just don some more make up change a full set of clothes or re-do your hair to look good when caught on camera jumping the light!

Indicator lights are always blinking in the direction opposite to the one you're turning! We have specialized in overtaking from the left. Wow what CT-in fact one road opposite the Garuda mall entrance actually insist that traffic flows the opposite way of what is expected as a rule.

Parking in No parking zones ! -Then the CT -waiting to see if our vehicles get towed away, or not.

The helmet hangs more on the handle than on your head! -CT
Pillion ends up becoming zillion behind. Suddenly the two seater bike gets converted into a family carrier right in front of our own eyes! Wah wat- CT until we get knocked down and actually need to undergo a CAT scan this time=CT

We hate queues!...guess we Bangloreans are what originated lateral thoughts in Edward de Bono’s mind …insist on making multiple queues. Which of course join the main queue?Imagine lane driving a guy planning to take a left turn would insist on driving in the extreme lane to the right-CT of course how can we deny him the pleasure? What CT if we actually manage to slip by …st lines or curved lines/lanes are an exercise in futility!

Mobile phone users have these funny postures, cricking necks and piles afflicted rears in order to adjust safe conversations especially since they are not allowed…Cheap thrills! The Network rarely falters!

Seat-belts…Gosh what CT… seen a majority wear it everywhere in and around the body, except where one is supposed to wear it! Most of them strap it on just to avoid the constant flicker on the indicator display panel in the car.Experts at bad posture-  you use your knees for steering more than your hands-Some CT!

Going so close and almost nuzzling against the vehicle in front of us…what CT… it’s like we are actually kissing the rear. And yet not!

Some of us, green revolutionists, don’t ever miss a tree in a car... our Air freshener!
Peeing on the roadside the cheapest thrill-its probably easier for a man because a woman would have to squat and it would just be a big hassle. Rarely seen woman pees on the roadside men don’t really care.

A lot many of us at Bangalore, are masters at breaking traffic rules and driving vehicles as carelessly as we wish. Traffic rules are flouted on our roads equally faster than changing lanes. Every single driving experience on roads here is race against time and it is better to keep your fingers crossed, if you are sitting next to the Formula CT Driver!

The very mention of rules makes some people rebel!
Traffic safety rules can be ignored at one's own peril. What is worse, the violators might end up harming not just themselves but law-abiding persons as well. A conscientious driver might be observing every rule under the book but if the driver behind him didn't bother with traffic niceties, he might add to the accident victims' tally.

Obey signs and signals. Seat belts are meant to be used. Don't indulge a minor by letting him drive. Children should play in a safe place away from the street. Use standard helmets while driving two-wheelers and don't carry more than one adult pillion rider. Carrying persons on the bonnet of a motor vehicle is not done. No person should be allowed to stand or sit in a manner, which would hamper the driver.

Right to life and safety is the fundamental right of any citizen. This is guaranteed under the constitution of every country in the world including India. However, more people die every year from road accidents all over the world than the number killed during the whole of the Second World War!..Cheap Thrills eh?

Some folks suffer from an extreme case of machismo-Not enough however to dismiss it as being SICK! ---Sex is more like a conquest for such toothpick dicks!

HOW DARE anyone consider women’s feelings as being worthless and socially induced, sanctioning their oppression, not being bothered about their sufferings or degree of domination?

 I am not an advocate of dressing like a whore/slut or whatever that means!

In fact I lived out my youth dressed in full sleeved clothes and long ankle length skirts in a bid to deploy unwanted male attention from them ever-present roadside Lotharios, who considered it their birthright to touch, grope and pinch.

It is convenient to put the blame on the victim, you dressed like a slut so you deserved to get raped!

 Many times in buses or public transport systems men tease, comment, follow, molest and some even touch or pinch butt. The worst is in theatres, when they extend their hands from the side to touch the mammary! How disgusting could that feeling get! I have never heard of one episode written or reported, of a woman do the same, like grope a man’s crotch in a public transport system! 

The discussions/debates invariably end up talking about the victim’s collusion means that she cooperates or agrees to being raped!

This actually renders the word RAPE meaningless! Can it be rape when one colludes?

In dating situations too, many women are made to feel exploitative if they don’t reciprocate wit sex at the end yet if the woman offers to pay the bill or half the bill many men take it as an attack on their masculinity!  The fact is rape is a premeditated act of violence, not a spontaneous act of passion. 71% of rapes are planned in advance. 60% of convicted rapists were married or had regular sexual partners at the time of the assault. Men can control their sexual impulses. The vast majority of rapists are motivated by power, anger, and control, not sexual gratification. It is NOT is an impulsive, uncontrollable act of sexual gratification.

The best deterrent for rape is social censure of the perpetrator to the same degree as the victims are made to face. One of the main reasons why rapists think they will get away is because they are cashing in on the ‘shame and social stigma’ the society will subject the victim to and not them.

While passivity and submissiveness may make women more rapable, it is a mistake to think that any woman is invulnerable to rape. If provocative or skimpy clothing left men unable to control themselves, sunny beaches would be over-run with flailing would-be rapists. Instead we know from research that only four per cent of rapists are able to remember what their victim was wearing!

Why must women have to beautify themselves in culturally defined/prescribed ways? ‘Modest dressing’ actually exacerbates the problem.

The more the people are used to seeing skin, the lesser the chances of debates on how much to cover is just taken as ‘natural’. People in the west go sun bathing topless in public parks; no one bothers a second look… In India too, men often go topless in summer without anyone raising an eyebrow!

Just because men are at the mercy of their testosterone and see a woman in a short skirt and think “I’m going in for the kill”-Are they’re not capable enough to ascertain for themselves what they really think or want. 

What is the line between controls and concern? Pinching and prodding hands don’t care about what you are wearing… but maybe leering eyes do?Covering of women is similar to covering men's eyes. Will the men agree to cover their eyes? 

Red-Blooded Alpha Male! - I believe how a woman dresses (and behaves in that dress) does NOT tell a you what’s on her mind!---It just means “keep your eyes, hands and your precious prick to yourself!”

Dinesh Reddy is the latest to adorn the “wall of shame” --He is suffering from a disease which has no cure-It’s called Premature Articulation…a predecessor to Emission Impossible! Guess he has had too little a dose of cracks and cleavages!

Even in Saudi in where in public a woman is expected to wear an abaya (a black garment that covers the entire body) and also to cover her head and hair also there has been rape reported! So, WTF DGP Dinesh Reddy? Even the visually impaired can rape!

What is this concept of decent and indecent dressing? Some call it provocative? Or obscure?

Women are always harassed and questioned regarding what they choose to wear and I don’t think that’s right or fair.What about the men who wear such tight jeans that one gets to see their “tom tom” bulging out to the extent that one can even predict the diameter of their vas deferens! Ain’t that indecent?

Why this notion or critique of indecent dressing has to be limited to women only?

Some advertisements where pheromone laced cologne when used by men, attract women from miles around to ravish him--Would they(men) be guilty of rape? Or would they be innocent by reason of drug-induced insanity?

The way a woman dresses cannot be routinely cited as an incitement to rape.

References to clinging clothes, low cut tops, bare midriffs, short skirts and even sleeveless blouses are common in the context of rape trials.The assumption that such choices of clothing can lead to rape-that clothes can speak for a woman who says NO are extremely damaging and ludicrous!

The suggestion that there even is such a thing as an “Invitation to Rape” is appalling!


Why should women be judged according to the now uniquely male "reasonable man" standard?Would a reasonable man feel a woman was subjecting him to undue sexual provocation with her dress, perfume or behavior? Many men might say yes,however, I do not agree!

We are in need of a new discourse directing the focus onto the perpetrators as opposed to the victims! 

Why should the focus only be on women? To prevent rape, we need to know what causes someone to rape. Is it true that -- only men rape?Are only men  the problem, therefore the solution is to control men? It should be obvious, however, that like all bigotted viewpoints, this oversimplifies both the problem and the solution!

Are rapists really disempowered men? Yes, many are.

Then we have the likes of the DGP,  who I’m has  enjoyed the voyueristic cinematic violence and lurid pornographic sequences in mainstream movies featuring hyper masculine men! Validate their masculinity, provide them with ethical and constructive outlets for expressing that masculinity, men will rape less and contribute more! This will work,but, as with so many things that are true, empowerment is only part of the answer, because there are other reasons why men rape.

Not the least among them being that millions of women idolize "heroic" rapists.

Identifying the cause of a problem, as most of us know, is half the solution.
